I love the weather in Chapel Hill in November. To me it’s always surprising to look out my window and see the beautiful fall color with zinnias, roses, bright geraniums, and camellias all blooming at the same time.
It’s getting dark early now and the sunsets over Jordan lake are spectacular.
Neighborhood kids were running around barefoot today. November 11th 2013
Well, it’s November 25th and the flowers are gone. We had one warm day last week where we were barefoot at the beach and out boating but now it’s almost Thanksgiving and looks like you would expect for November.
My window boxes are frozen, the plants all drooping. I’m going to go out buy red and white pansies that will work well through Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentines day. My husband reminded me that we still have another month before the official start of winter.
Even though it’s cold I still love November in NC.
